A Small Business.. Very Sweet..

Monday, the state financial analysts determined Colorado's revenue is going up, but not enough to overcome a major deficit.  The Governor may be forced to extend state employee furloughs because of the short fall in revenue.

One business is seeing the growth of the economy.  Copoco's Honey, with an emphasis on the "po" is a Great American Small Business success story.  Benjamin and Rebekah, the owners of Copoco's Honey have been harvesting local honey for nearly seven years, but opened their store (not hard to miss, keep reading to find out why) on North College in June of 2009.  July 2 and 3, Benjamin and Rebecca will host an anniversary event at the store which is yellow of course and there's a man-made bee-hive next to the building.  To survive the recession in 2009 as a small business owner is remarkable and to grow is commendable. I would say it's because of their natural made products which is honey.  Their bees recently came home from out west and last week they were headed to the Kansas border for pollination time.  Then the bees will come home to Northern Colorado again.

This American business success story goes behind the hive.  Copoco's Honey now can be found in two Albertson's grocery stores in Fort Collins.  Copoco's Honey is also the exclusive seller of an O'dells Brewery honey soap.  Impressive growth for any size business.  And you get to taste the product of home grown honey before you buy it.

If you get a chance to stop out to the "hive" and see for yourself the sweetness of success at Copoco's Honey. Again, Copoco's anniversary event is July 2 and 3.
